A closer look at Stadium Music

An iPhone and iPad app for setting up player walk-up songs, trimming the intros and playing them from a team roster.

Prepare the intro once

Put the batting order in the app, assign an Apple Music track to each name, and set the start time and clip length. Stadium Music turns that preparation into a player list with large playback controls for game day. The useful detail is the saved clip position. The operator doesn't have to find the same part of a song for every at-bat.

The current App Store listing supports iPhone and iPad on iOS 16 or later. Its setup and playback workflow is described on the public pages; playback timing and speaker connections weren't tested here.

Four players before the unlock

The free tier includes one team with four players, song selection, clip editing and game-day playback. The US listing advertises a one-time $0.99 purchase for unlimited players, with no recurring Stadium Music charge.

An active Apple Music subscription is still required to search, preview and play songs. The developer's site also requires an internet connection. Songs aren't included, and the app doesn't use Spotify. Those requirements matter at a field where mobile reception is uncertain.

The roster lives in the cloud

The linked privacy policy says account details, team and player information, song assignments and clip settings are stored through Supabase. It also describes a Team Link that lets anyone holding the link submit song requests for the coach to approve. Keep that link within the intended team group, particularly when a roster contains children's names and jersey numbers.

Playing a track at a game has a separate permissions question. The app's terms put responsibility for public music rights and any required licenses on the user. Its website also advises checking with the league or tournament about when music may play and who controls the speaker.
