Paste a link to an article or newsletter, choose a voice and a language, and press listen. tta1 fetches the page, drops the menus, ads, cookie banners and comments, and reads the story. If the article is in another language, it translates first, so a Spanish news story can come out in English. A 500-character sample works without an account.

X support is the more distinctive part. Paste any post from a thread and tta1 reads the author's whole thread in order, skipping other people's replies, and it reads X Articles in full with their headings. Pages behind a login or paywall can't be fetched, but you can paste the text or upload a screenshot instead.

Plans are metered by words read aloud, and the site says replays are free. The free plan gives 1,000 words a month, which the site puts at about seven minutes of listening, so roughly one long article. Plus is $6 a month for 25,000 words and adds uploads of PDFs, Word files and screenshots, plus MP3 downloads. Pro is $12 for 50,000 words, and a 25,000-word top-up costs $5 and doesn't expire.

tta1 is run by Pixel Online, an Australian business. Its privacy policy, updated October 1, 2026, says reading text and uploads go through OpenRouter to AI model providers, including Google, for text extraction, translation and speech. Uploaded files are discarded once the text is pulled out, and the extracted text and audio stay until you delete the reading.

One mismatch is worth knowing about. The policy's summary says the site uses no analytics or advertising trackers, but a later section says Google Ads receives the pages you visit on tta1 through the Google tag, to measure its advertising.
