A closer look at ZIPZAX

ZIPZAX is a free collection of online tools. Its AI section has 57 task-specific forms for emails, resumes, slides, PDF questions, math, study notes, marketing copy and code, with no account required.

What it does

ZIPZAX is a site of free tools, and its AI category is a menu of narrow forms rather than one chat box. You pick the job first. Write an email, reply to a message, build a resume, make slides, solve a math problem, study from your notes. Behind those starting points sit 57 tools in groups for writing, email, careers, work, study, marketing and SEO, code and data, and everyday tasks such as recipes and trip plans.

The narrow forms are the point. The resume checker compares a resume with a job ad you paste in. The presentation maker turns notes into a PowerPoint file with speaker notes. The text-to-JSON extractor has you define fields and types before it pulls values out of text, and its guide warns that a parsed field can still hold the wrong value. Every tool links to a guide with a worked example, and the site suggests short sequences that mix AI and non-AI tools, like drafting an email, checking the grammar and then running a word count.

Who it is for

It suits someone who needs a first draft of an everyday document and doesn't want to sign up for a separate service each time. Students get flashcards, quizzes and a math solver that shows its steps. Job seekers get resume, cover letter and interview prep tools. Developers get a code explainer, a regex builder and an SQL assistant, though the site says plainly that generated code, formulas and queries are drafts to test.

Free use comes with a limit. Each network address can make 10 AI requests a day across every tool, so a long session of rewrites will hit the ceiling. That's fine for occasional chores and tight for anyone hoping to make it a daily writing assistant.

Where your text goes

The privacy policy is specific about this. When you submit an AI form, ZIPZAX sends the text and settings to external AI services, and it may try another service if the first one fails. The policy says those services apply their own retention terms and may keep request data, so it asks you to leave out confidential material. ZIPZAX itself says it doesn't keep prompt or result history by default.

A few tools are built to send less. Chat with PDF reads the file in the browser and sends only the passages that go with each question, and the resume builder keeps your name and contact details on the page. The non-AI utilities elsewhere on the site process files on your device, and each tool page carries a badge saying whether it runs locally or uses the server. Optional Google Drive access asks only for files you pick.

ZIPZAX is built by co-founders Max Hall and Mojid Hoss.
