Project overview
The short version
CutoutUp is a browser tool for removing video backgrounds. Its portrait tool isolates a clearly visible person without a green screen and exports a VP9 WebM with transparency, keeping supported audio as Opus or stopping rather than producing a silent file. Other tools key out green, blue or solid-colour backdrops for products and props, replace the background with a colour or your own image, and clear solid backgrounds from GIFs. By default everything runs locally: the model loads from the site and your video never leaves the browser. Guests get three free tasks a day, signed-in users six, for clips up to 120 seconds at 720p and 30 fps. Unlimited local use costs $4.99 for a month as a one-time purchase, and credit packs from $9.90 pay for optional cloud processing, which uploads the video and uses VEED for the cutout. Desktop Chrome or Edge is recommended.
