Project overview

The short version

Read the full Project Note

Recessed Light Calculator plans can light layouts for one room at a time. Enter the room's width, length and ceiling height, pick a fixture from a preset list or type in its lumens and beam angle, and choose a room type to set the target brightness. It returns a light count, a grid with row and column spacing, distances from the walls, and estimated average, minimum and maximum light levels. You can view the plan as a heatmap or coverage map and export a PNG plan or a CSV of fixture coordinates. There's no account, and the site says calculations run in your browser without sending room inputs to a server. Every result is labeled a planning estimate, not measured photometry.
