Project Note

A closer look at Arkhe

Arkhe is a network of Philippine directories covering construction suppliers, computer and IT services, regulated-waste providers and retail electricity suppliers, with each record tied to its public source and a methodology that explains the limits of that evidence.

What it does

Finding a hazardous-waste hauler or a retail electricity supplier in the Philippines usually means piecing together a regulator list, a map search and a few company websites, none of which agree on what is current. Arkhe organises that public information into four focused directories. BuildSupply PH, a Metro Manila pilot, lists construction suppliers by material and city. TechspertPH covers computer shops, repair businesses and IT services. WasteSource PH holds regulated-waste provider records with their waste-code associations and dated source evidence. Kuryente Match covers retail electricity suppliers, switching rules and offer comparisons, without a best-supplier ranking.

The common thread is how carefully each record is labelled. The methodology separates who a business is, which source a record came from, regulatory facts, added contact details and how fresh each piece is. An OpenStreetMap entry can help you discover a business but doesn't show it is operating today. A dated government register shows historical status, not current authorisation. Where sources conflict, such as an Active label beside an expired validity date, the record keeps the conflict visible.

Who it is for

Procurement staff, small businesses, contractors and facility managers in the Philippines who need a starting list of providers and want to know how much weight each listing can bear. The free provider verification toolkit is useful on its own. Pick a sector, tick the checks you've already done, and it gives you the remaining questions to put to a provider, such as confirming the exact legal entity and branch, a current contact channel and written terms. It runs in the browser and sends nothing to Arkhe.

How the team describes it

The team behind Arkhe calls it a starting point for research rather than a complete or live register of Philippine providers. Coverage and source dates differ between directories, some records still need contact or service checks, and there's no single real-time refresh schedule, because update timing depends on each directory and its sources. Corrections go through the contact page and should name the affected page along with a public source that supports the change.

What to keep in mind

Arkhe says plainly that it isn't a regulator or a representative of the businesses listed, and that inclusion is neither an endorsement nor a guarantee of availability. Records may be gathered with automated tools and then reviewed against their sources, so it's worth confirming anything consequential with the provider or the regulator. The about page says some directories may carry affiliate links or paid placements later, to be disclosed. It doesn't name the people behind the project, though it publishes a contact address and editorial policy.

The privacy policy, updated October 14, 2026, covers the contact form and cookieless Cloudflare analytics, and says no ads are currently shown.
