A closer look at BitTool Wallet
BitTool Wallet is a free everyday crypto wallet for iPhone and Android that covers Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, TRON and Solana. Keys are created and encrypted on the phone, there's no account, and it can pair with BitTool Signer so savings stay on an offline phone.
A plain wallet for daily use
BitTool Wallet doesn't try to be a trading app. It handles the basics: hold coins on seven networks, send and receive with address checks, see your history, and connect to dApps when you need to. The networks are Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Base, TRON and Solana, with tokens such as USDT and USDC. Setup takes no email, phone number or identity check. You generate a recovery phrase on the phone, write it down, set a wallet password and pick a Wallet ID, a short name others can use to send to you instead of a long address.
A few small features show some thought about everyday mistakes. Sending checks the address format. An address book saves people you pay often. Large transfer protection lets you choose an amount above which a send needs your wallet password as well as Face ID or a fingerprint, so a quick biometric tap can't move a big sum. WalletConnect requests are shown for review before you approve them, and the wallet hides its contents when it goes to the background so balances don't appear in the app switcher.
Hot for spending, cold for savings
The wallet is designed to sit alongside BitTool Signer, the same company's offline signing app. You can keep a hot wallet on this phone for daily use and a cold wallet whose keys live on a spare offline phone, with BitTool Wallet tracking balances and broadcasting transactions while every signature happens offline through QR codes. Both kinds can sit side by side in the app.
Backups and data
The recovery phrase is the master key, and the site says plainly that nobody, BitTool included, can restore a lost one. There's an optional encrypted iCloud backup: the phrase is encrypted before it reaches iCloud Keychain, and restoring needs both your Apple ID and your wallet password. The company also publishes the Android APK with its SHA-256 hash and signing certificate for people who want to check the file before installing.
The privacy policy, from BitTool's Singapore operating company, says the wallet doesn't hold your keys, require an account or build advertising profiles. Like any wallet that shows balances, it has to look up public addresses and related data on blockchain services to work.
Who it's for
It suits someone who wants a simple, free wallet on their phone and may later move larger amounts to an offline signer without switching apps. People who want built-in swaps, staking or a broad dApp browser will want something with more features.
