M Card Games

A site built around one narrow question: which card games start with M? Fifteen of them are playable in the browser, mostly solitaire, and the rest link to rules or their publishers.

A closer look at M Card Games

M Card Games lists card games that start with M and lets you play 15 of them in the browser, including Mau Mau, Memory and 13 solitaire variants, with no account.

What it is

The name is the whole premise. M Card Games is a list of card games that start with the letter M, and 15 of them can be played right away in the browser. Thirteen are solitaire variants (Montana, Mountain, Magic Castle, Monte Carlo, Miss Milligan, Mrs. Mop and others), and the other two are Mau Mau and a Memory matching game the site made itself. There's no account and nothing to download.

It's a small idea, but it fits a real kind of search. If you're trying to remember that solitaire game starting with M, or settle whether a house game was Mao or Mau Mau, you get a short list instead of a giant games portal. Short guides cover those questions too, including how Mao differs from Mau Mau and which games work with an ordinary deck.

Where the games come from

Most of the playable games are embeds from distributors, not games the site built. The Game credits page names the source for each one: HTMLGames/Zygomatic for Mau Mau and several solitaires, Novel Games for Monte Carlo, Miss Milligan and Mrs. Mop, and Playgama for Magic Tri Peaks and Magic Story of Solitaire, each with a link to its distribution terms. Memory is the site's own game, and its card is marked "No ads".

That changes what happens when you press play. The privacy policy says an embedded game loads only when you pick it, and the provider then receives device and connection details and may use cookies or storage for gameplay and advertising. Controls and rules differ between embeds, and the about page tells you to check each game's own help for details.

The rest of the list

Games without a playable version, like Manni, Mus, Mizerka and Machiavelli, lead to a guide or a rules source. Commercial games such as Munchkin, Magic: The Gathering, Mille Bornes and Monopoly Deal are labeled as commercial and point to their publishers. The site says it's independent and not endorsed by the owners of the games it lists.

The Saved button is a simple bookmark. According to the privacy policy it keeps only game identifiers in your browser's local storage, and nothing about it leaves the device. For a quick solitaire round, or for working out what an M-named card game actually is, that's about all you need.
