A closer look at Stadium Tracker: Groundhopping

A personal football-ground journal with manual visit records, photos, a map and CSV import and export.

A ground visit is enough

Stadium Tracker: Groundhopping lets a football supporter record a visit without reconstructing every match detail. The ground, city, country and date form the entry; teams, score and notes are optional. One local photo or ticket image can sit beside it.

The app describes a personal map built from positions you choose, country collections and searches by ground, city or team. It does not detect attendance or request device location, and it supplies no live scores or fixture database. The record is your own journal, rather than an independently checked account of where you went.

Starting today and adding an old season

Today's visits are included in the free app. A one-time Pro purchase unlocks new entries dated before today, including new historical rows imported from CSV, and designed year-card exports. That distinction matters if your first task is entering years of previous trips. Existing history, ordinary editing, photos, search and CSV export remain available without Pro.

The App Store lists iPhone and iPad support and requires iOS 26 or later. Check the current purchase price on your device. ProjectRadar read the public site and listing without installing the app or trying an import.

Keep the photos as well as the CSV

CSV exports contain record text and chosen coordinates, but leave out photos and ticket images. Someone moving a journal to another device therefore needs to keep image originals separately. Local storage alone is not a backup; the developer says device and iCloud backups depend on the user's Apple settings.

The privacy notice says journal content stays in local app storage. Limited TelemetryDeck analytics are enabled by default, with an opt-out in Settings. These include feature events, an app-specific hashed identifier and technical device details, but exclude visit details, map pins and photos. Apple Maps searches and map display can also contact Apple. Accountless use does not mean the app makes no external requests.
