Project overview
The short version
Mp3toMidi converts audio recordings into MIDI files in the browser. You upload an MP3, WAV or M4A, the service detects the pitches and note starts it can identify, and you preview the result before downloading a .mid file for Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio or another DAW. It works best on one clear part, such as a dry vocal, piano phrase, guitar riff, bass line or synth lead, and the site says dense full mixes give a rough sketch that needs more cleanup. Guests and free accounts get three 30-second previews a day. Basic costs $9.99 a month or $4.99 a month billed yearly for 300 conversion minutes, and Standard costs $19.99 or $8.99 yearly for 750 minutes, longer files and a higher-quality transcription option. It is operated by AstraOcean Ltd, which lists a London registered address.
