A closer look at ImgMin Pro

A free browser tool for batch image compression, format conversion and resizing.

When an image has to fit a limit

An upload form that rejects a large image creates a specific task: reduce the file without making it unreadable. ImgMin Pro gives that task its own controls. The public 100KB page opens with the target already filled in, alongside format selection and resize settings.

JPEG and WebP can use automatic quality adjustment. PNG keeps transparency but may exceed the requested size, and the tool's instructions say it will not change your chosen dimensions just to reach a target. That distinction matters: a size preset starts the process; the resulting file still needs a check.

Preparing a batch

The current picker lists a maximum of 20 images, and the site describes individual or ZIP downloads. Some explanatory text still says ten files, so the visible picker is the clearest statement of the current batch limit. The free tool does not require an account.

A designer preparing several images for a website can work with a common size target, then adjust format or dimensions where a file needs more room. This is an example of how the controls could fit a task, not a tested batch result.

Local processing and website analytics

ImgMin says compression happens in the browser without uploading image data. Its privacy policy also discloses Google Analytics and first-party usage events, so local image processing should not be read as a claim that the whole website makes no network requests. ProjectRadar inspected the public controls and documentation; compression results and network behavior were not tested.
