Project Note

A closer look at PC Tweaker Uninstaller

A Windows uninstaller with command review, restore-point attempts and a local removal ledger; batch removal and leftover cleanup require Pro.

Before the program disappears

Removing an unfamiliar Windows program can leave two questions: what will run, and what happened afterward? PC Tweaker Uninstaller describes both. Its removal brief shows the command and required permissions before execution, while an explained risk score gives the user more context for the decision. That score should be read alongside the reasons, not treated as a guarantee that removing a program is harmless.

The free app supports single removals of desktop software and Store apps. Pro adds a queue for sequential removals and cleanup of supported files, folders and registry keys left behind by an application's own uninstaller. No software was removed to prepare this note.

A receipt is not a recovery plan

The local Removal Ledger records the removal method, exit code, pending-reboot state and reported space freed. It also records whether the attempted Windows restore point was created. An export gives someone troubleshooting a removal a record more specific than a success message.

The maker explicitly warns that restore-point creation may fail or be skipped, depending on Windows settings, permissions and throttling. Even an available restore point does not guarantee recovery of an application, its settings or its data. Keep an independent backup and check the actual recorded outcome before relying on recovery.

Separate software, separate Pro access

The October 2, 2026 public page lists free single uninstalls and Uninstaller Pro at €9.99 per year. It lists a €4.99 annual rate for existing PC Tweaker subscribers on the same account, with taxes and final renewal terms shown at checkout. A PC Tweaker subscription does not automatically include ongoing Uninstaller Pro access.

The official release page for version 0.12.1 describes clearer review controls and confirmation before clearing local removal history. It says clearing that history preserves installed apps, restore points and existing exports. That release note is a description from the developer; the application's removal and recovery behavior was not tested here.
