Project Note
A closer look at PC Tweaker
A Windows utility for inspecting and changing gaming, privacy and maintenance settings, with restoration for supported tweaks.
A setting you can inspect
PC Tweaker's system-change guide uses a small, concrete example: showing file extensions changes Explorer's HideFileExt value for the current user. It doesn't rename files or establish whether a file is safe. That level of detail is the useful idea behind this Windows utility. Before choosing a tweak, you can see what it is meant to change.
The app groups gaming, privacy and maintenance controls, with descriptions of registry settings and other commands. Some actions affect the whole machine and require administrator access. Its configuration score summarizes settings and observations; it isn't a benchmark or proof that an inactive option needs fixing.
Undo has a defined scope
The maker says supported tweaks save their previous values so they can be restored individually or through Restore All. That is different from promising to undo every operation. Permanently deleted caches cannot be recovered by restoring a registry setting, and repair, uninstall and driver-update actions have their own recovery limits.
For someone experimenting with a gaming setup, the sensible use is to compare the same workload before and after a selected change. The homepage explicitly labels its frame-time chart as an illustration. No performance improvement or restore behavior was tested for this note.
Start with the free controls
On October 2, 2026, the site listed 39 free controls and 66 in total. Free use requires no account. Pro was listed at €7.99 monthly or €59.99 yearly and includes automatic Game Sessions alongside additional controls and tools. Those sessions are described as applying a preset for a supported game and restoring supported settings afterward.
The privacy policy says tweaks, snapshots, hardware readings and file scans are processed locally. Account-based Pro features involve separate account and subscription records. Publicly available source can help a technical reader inspect an operation, but the project uses a proprietary license.
