A closer look at Plinth
Plinth is a free browser tool that places a screenshot on a 3D phone, tablet, laptop, browser window or card. Pick a look, adjust angle, lighting and background, and download a PNG, with the image staying in your tab.
What it does
Plinth is for the moment you need an app screen or website shot to look like it's sitting on a real device, say for a launch post or a store listing, without opening a design tool. You drop or paste a screenshot, pick a device, and get a studio-lit 3D render you can download as a PNG.
The devices are a phone, tablet, laptop, browser window and a plain card, all generic models rather than specific brands. Four ready-made looks set the mood: Studio, Dark studio, Clean view and Warm view. From there you can change the angle (front, three-quarter, top, lean, or a free view you can rotate to see the back), the aspect ratio (1:1, 4:5, 16:9, 9:16 or 3:1), the space around the device, the lighting and the background, including a transparent one. An image-fit control decides whether the screenshot fills the screen and may be cropped, or fits entirely with bands. There's undo and redo, and you choose an export size before downloading.
Sharing and privacy
The page says your image stays in the browser tab. You can share a scene link with someone else, and it carries only the settings, never the uploaded image, so a teammate can reproduce the same look with their own screenshot.
Worth knowing
It's free with no account. It runs on a vercel.app address rather than its own domain, and it's a focused single-page tool with one device per scene.
