A closer look at SealedPocket (formerly ZeroNet Space)
An iPhone and iPad app for keeping a private collection of photos, files, notes and recordings without an app account or automatic cloud sync, now with a photo diary.
A diary inside a vault
The 1.3.11 update adds a diary editor to what was a private file vault. The developer's guide frames it around one ordinary moment: a photo by a lake and the thought you had there, written as a short entry with the picture between paragraphs instead of attached at the end. The editor supports headings, bold, italic, underline, lists and quotes, and you can read an entry without the keyboard popping up. The guide even offers three starter prompts (what happened, what the photo doesn't show, what you want to remember) and says they are writing prompts, not a mental-health treatment.
PDF export needs the existing one-time VIP purchase. The guide links a real exported sample with fictional content and points out that a PDF is a reading copy that sits outside the vault and can't restore an editable diary.
Candid about alternatives
The most unusual thing about the guide is how readily it sends you elsewhere. It says Apple's Journal app may already be enough for a photo diary, that locked Apple Notes may do for a few private notes, and that SealedPocket isn't a collaborative or synced journal. It doesn't claim to be more secure than Journal and notes that Journal can export PDFs too. Screenshots and recordings are labelled as using fictional demo content, and the simulator recordings are marked as edited.
Storage and privacy
Content is encrypted on the device, and the App Store listing says nothing is uploaded or synced automatically. That cuts both ways. The guide warns that local storage isn't a backup and that Restore Purchases won't bring back a diary. The privacy policy, published on GitHub and last updated November 18, 2025 under the ZeroNet Space name, says the app makes no network requests, uses no third-party analytics, ads or crash reporting, and leaves in-app purchases to Apple.
