Project Note

A closer look at BankStatementMate

A browser-based bank statement converter from PDF, PNG or JPG to Excel or CSV, with local processing and one free conversion.

From PDF statement to spreadsheet

If you've ever retyped a month of transactions into a spreadsheet for a budget, a tax return or a loan application, this is the job BankStatementMate takes on. You add a statement as a PDF, PNG or JPG, up to 10 MB and five PDF pages, and it extracts the transactions into five columns: date, description, debit, credit and balance. You can pick which PDF pages to read to avoid exporting duplicate detail sections, review the result against the original, then download Excel or CSV with the amounts as numbers.

The statement stays on your device

Bank statements are sensitive, so where they go matters. The homepage says conversion runs in your browser and the file is never uploaded. The privacy policy, updated November 4, 2026, backs that up: the current converter doesn't send statement files or extracted transaction rows to its servers or to an external AI service. Your account, billing and usage records are kept on its servers and with its service providers for operations, support and accounting. The policy names the operator as Tony stack, based in Hong Kong.

Results still depend on the quality of the file, especially for scans. The site suggests checking dates, amounts and balances against the original before you rely on the export, which is good advice for any statement converter.

What it costs

You'll need to sign in, and a new account gets one free successful conversion without a card. After that there's a $17 page pack, a $35 monthly plan and a $109 yearly plan. There's a sample statement to try before you upload your own.
