A closer look at Felho
Felho is a Hungarian business data platform. It lets you search about 522,000 companies from the tax authority's public VAT register, view verification and risk scores, monitor changes and use an API. Paid plans start at 4,990 forints a month.
What it does
Felho brings Hungarian company data into one search. The base layer is the tax authority's public VAT register, about 522,000 records, each marked with the date it was queried. Search by name or tax number and you see whether a company is registered and active. Some companies also have a full profile, with officers, filings and two separate scores. One is a 0 to 100 verification score for how complete and well supported the record is. The other is a risk rating, and the site says plainly that the score is not a credit rating.
Around that core is a lot of practical reference material, including tax-number and company-registration code lookups, a bank account checker, central bank exchange rates, the base rate and late-payment interest, and a working-day calculator. There is also a domain search for .hu addresses.
Pricing and status
Starter costs 4,990 forints a month for 100 company lookups. Business costs 19,990 forints for 2,500 lookups, full verification and risk scores, change alerts, CSV export and up to 10 team members. The API plan costs 49,990 forints and adds webhooks and bulk endpoints. Prices include VAT and plans can be cancelled at any time.
The numbers need context. Of the 522,000 records, the home page shows only 80 full company profiles, so most searches return the basic tax-register entry. Domain prices are listed, but Felho says it is not yet an accredited registrar, so domain requests are only pre-orders for now and no money changes hands. Felho is run by Verde Holding Kft. in Balatonalmádi, which also runs Overit registers in other countries.
What to keep in mind
Felho lists people too. A directory shows a few hundred directors and owners taken from the published company register, ranked by how many companies they are linked to, and the site advertises identity checks on directors and ultimate owners. The privacy policy covers only account holders, with email, a hashed password, a 7-day session cookie and short-lived logs, all stored in the EU. It doesn't explain how the people in that directory can see or correct their data. The site also says its company data is informational and not an official company extract. Use it for a quick first check and confirm anything important in the official register.
