A closer look at Legalnaut
Legalnaut is a case analysis workspace for litigation teams. Upload a case file, mailbox or archive, and it extracts dates, people and claims, builds a timeline, and compares accounts for contradictions, citing the exact page for each point. Plans start at $79 a month with a 14-day trial.
What it does
A litigation file can run to thousands of pages, and the work of building a timeline from it usually falls to a paralegal reading every page. Legalnaut does that first read. You add the file once, as single documents, a ZIP of the whole folder, a mailbox export or forwarded email, and it OCRs scans, transcribes recordings, and uses language models to extract dates, people and claims. From that it builds a chronology, tracks money and deadlines, and compares every claim against the rest of the file to show where witnesses or documents disagree and where evidence is missing.
The point the site keeps returning to is traceability. Every finding links to a document, a page and a quotation, and before you see any draft or chat answer, the system checks that the cited page exists and the quotation is really on it. Anything that fails is reported, not quietly fixed. A chat assistant can answer questions about the file and add items to a dossier when asked.
Lawyers stay in charge
Anything the AI writes is labelled a draft, and a finding stays a suggestion until a lawyer confirms it, with their name and the time recorded. Original files and their extracted text can't be overwritten once added, and each document is fingerprinted so duplicates are caught. Roles decide who can delete shared material, a client can be invited to view one matter only, and an audit log records consequential actions. Legalnaut says it doesn't give legal advice or file anything with a court.
Where the documents go
The security page is written for whoever has to approve the tool. The operator is A2Z WEB PTE. LTD., a Singapore company, which acts as your processor under a data processing agreement. The app and case files run on Hetzner Cloud in Falkenstein, Germany. Scans that can't be read locally go to Amazon Textract in AWS Frankfurt, and the language-model analysis runs at OpenAI and Anthropic in the United States under Standard Contractual Clauses and contracts that prohibit training on your material. There's no time limit on paid case files. If a subscription lapses, the matter locks but can still be exported or deleted, and deletion waits 30 days with a warning. Enterprise customers can host it on their own servers with their own model keys.
Pricing
You pay for case files and pages of analysis, not seats, and every plan has unlimited users and all features. Solo is $79 a month for one matter and 2,500 pages a month, with 5,000-page packs at $129. Larger plans start with Practice at $299 a month. There's a 14-day trial with no card and 1,000 pages, and a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first payment.
