A closer look at GalleryDock
GalleryDock is an online client gallery for photographers and filmmakers. It delivers photos and videos, collects client favourites, selections and comments, controls downloads and lets you sell extra images and prints from the gallery, with a free plan and paid tiers.
What it does
After a wedding or a product shoot, the delivery step is often a cloud link and a long email thread about which images the client likes. GalleryDock puts that whole exchange in one place. You create a gallery, upload photos and videos, and share it, with an optional password. Inside the gallery the client can mark favourites, make a formal selection, leave comments and download files, and you decide which downloads are allowed. Your own logo can go on the gallery and serve as a watermark, and paid plans hide GalleryDock's branding. Galleries can also be embedded on your own website.
Video is a full part of the gallery, not an add-on. Clients can comment at a specific timecode, which helps when a revision note would otherwise say somewhere around the three-minute mark. Upload limits for video are 750 MB per file on the free plan, 15 GB on Base and 30 GB on Pro.
Selling from the gallery
Each gallery can include a shop for extra digital images, videos or complete albums, plus print products such as photo prints, posters and wall art. GalleryDock takes a fee on each sale: 15% on the free plan, 10% on Base and 5% on Pro. For a photographer who regularly sells add-on images, that difference is a real factor in choosing a plan.
Price and data
The free plan is free indefinitely, with three galleries, 1 GB of storage and no card required. Base is 19 EUR a month, or 228 EUR billed yearly, for unlimited galleries and 200 GB. Pro is 29 EUR a month, or 348 EUR yearly, for 1 TB. Prices are net business prices plus VAT, and the privacy policy says the service is aimed at business customers rather than consumers.
GalleryDock is run by Edmond Rätzel in Hannover, Germany, and the site has a legal notice, a GDPR privacy policy dated October 9, 2026 and a data processing agreement. The policy says GalleryDock usually processes your clients' photos and data as a processor on your behalf, and that the current version uses no marketing trackers such as Google Analytics or ad pixels. The English legal pages are translations, and the German versions control.
