TranslateManga - Manga Translator

The usual way to read untranslated manga with a machine translator is clumsy: copy the text out, paste it somewhere else, and flip back and forth. TranslateManga does the whole page instead. You upload images, pick a target language and get pages back with the Japanese, Korean or Chinese lettering erased and the translation sitting inside the bubbles.

Several steps happen behind that. It finds the dialogue in panels and speech bubbles, removes the original text and repairs the background, then sets the new text with adjusted font size and line breaks so it fits. It also tries to keep the original text color. The homepage shows examples for black-and-white manga, webtoons and color comics.

Uploads can be JPG, PNG or WEBP, up to 15 MB per image and 10 images per batch, and results download to your device. The free trial gives 20 translations on the default model with no sign-up needed to start. Paid plans, billed yearly, are Lite at $4 a month for 500 credits, Standard at $7 for 3,000 and Pro at $14 for 12,000, and they add an advanced translation model, a manga editor for fixing results and custom fonts, with API access from Standard up. One-time and monthly options are also listed. There is also a browser extension for translating pages while you read online.

Machine translation of comic dialogue is a hard case, with slang, sound effects and lines split across bubbles, so the editor is likely to get real use on anything you care about.

The privacy policy says uploaded images are used to provide the features you request, temporary processing copies are generally deleted within several hours, and images or results can be kept longer for saved history, support, backups or legal reasons. It lists hosting, authentication, payments, AI processing and analytics among the providers it uses, without naming them, and says it does not sell personal information. The policy names the service only as TranslateManga, with a support email.
