Image3D handles the first step of a 3D job: getting a usable shape out of a picture. You upload one image of a clear single subject, such as a product, character, badge, prop or creature, or type a prompt and let it make a reference image first. After generating, you can turn the model around in the browser and check the front, sides and back before deciding whether it's worth exporting.

The site suggests front or three-quarter views of one object, which tend to work better than busy scenes. Its public gallery shows earlier results, like a dragon you can rotate to inspect horns and scales, though it notes these are historical examples rather than controlled tests of today's modes.

What you do next decides the format. GLB is the lightweight choice for web viewers, e-commerce previews and AR tests. OBJ goes into Blender when the shape is worth keeping but needs mesh repair, smoothing or retopology. STL is for loading into a slicer to see whether a print is realistic, and PLY is also offered. The site is direct about limits: output isn't CAD-grade, and before printing or commercial use you should check scale, wall thickness, overhangs, floating islands and mesh cleanup.

There are no free generations. Public examples are free to view, but you sign in and pay before generating, and exports of your own models require paid access. Maker is a one-time $9.99 for 1,000 credits that don't expire. Creator is $39.99 a month for 4,500 credits and Power is $89.99 a month for 10,000, with subscription credits resetting each cycle. A model costs 10 credits in Standard mode, 100 in Pro and 350 in Ultra, so Maker covers about ten Pro models. Paid plans include commercial use.

The privacy policy says uploaded images go through its AI pipeline and are processed in real time without being stored permanently, while generated models are kept for your account. It lists Firebase for sign-in, Stripe for payments, Google Analytics and Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity for session replay and heatmaps, optional PostHog analytics and Cloudflare for hosting.

It fits creators, small game developers and online sellers who need a quick 3D draft from an image and are ready to clean it up in other software. Anyone needing precise, measured parts should stick with CAD.
