AI Translate Manga

AI Translate Manga does one specific job: take Japanese manga pages and give them back with the dialogue in English or Simplified Chinese, inside the bubbles. It's in early access, and the site is modest about it. Its sample page shows a real Japanese-to-English result and says quality varies by page.

There are two ways in. The website takes PNG or JPG pages up to 5 MB each, or a PDF up to 50 MB, which it splits into pages locally before sending them, up to 20 pages per batch. The desktop Chrome extension works on manga reader sites while you browse. It handles ordinary images and canvas-based readers by cropping the visible canvas area, and it can read automatically as you scroll if you turn that on. It doesn't work in iframe readers or on phone Chrome, where the upload tool is the option.

Pricing is per page and simple. Signing in with Google gives four free pages for 30 days with no card. After that, 100 pages cost $4.99 as a one-time pack, valid for 12 months, with no automatic renewal, and failed pages return their credit. Unused packs can be refunded within 14 days. The website and extension share one balance.

The privacy notice is specific. The service is run by Li Xiang as an individual operator. Submitted pages go to Torii, the translation provider, along with your settings. Results are stored privately on Cloudflare until you delete them from History, though deleting doesn't remove Torii's copy, and Torii's own policy gives no fixed deletion period. For that reason the notice asks you not to upload sensitive or confidential pages, and the site asks you to translate only pages you own or have permission to use. Analytics are opt-in.

It suits manga readers who want to follow untranslated Japanese chapters, especially on desktop where the extension can translate as they read. Readers of Korean or Chinese comics, or anyone who wants an editor to fix lines, will need a different tool.
