Project Note

A closer look at Imgraft

Imgraft is a browser-based AI photo editor for restyling, background and outfit changes, colour edits, restoration, sketches and upscaling, with free watermarked edits and paid plans up to 4K.

Edit the photo you have

Imgraft works from a photo you upload and tries to keep the parts you didn't ask to change. You drop in a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB, choose a style or type what should be different, and get a side-by-side comparison with the source. The presets cover painterly looks (watercolor, oil painting, ukiyo-e print, clay 3D, pixel art), a sketch converter, background and colour changes, photo restoration, an upscaler and an image-to-prompt tool that describes a picture in words. There are seasonal pages for Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving and Halloween photos too.

The clothes changer is the one to read carefully. It asks for a photo of a consenting adult and a garment, and the site says the model is instructed to keep the face, pose and background, while also telling you to compare details before saving. Before any free generation you confirm you're 18 or older and have permission to use the photo.

Free edits and plans

You can try it without signing up. Free results are 1K and carry a watermark. Starter is $9.90 a month for 150 credits, Pro is $19.90 for 350 and Studio is $49.90 for 1,000, all without the watermark and with HD output at 1K, 2K or 4K. Yearly billing gives two months free, and one-off credit packs are available. Monthly credits expire at the end of each period. The refund policy allows a full refund within 7 days of a payment only if none of that payment's credits have been used.

Where uploads go

The privacy policy, last updated October 27, 2026, lists its processors by name: Cloudflare for storage, Tencent Cloud for application servers and databases in the United States, and APIMart, which sends images to third-party AI models for generation and image-to-prompt descriptions. Anonymous uploads and results are deleted after 24 hours and signed-in ones after seven days, so download anything you want to keep. Your recent results list lives in the browser and holds the latest 20.

Imgraft describes itself as an independent editor run by the Imgraft team. It isn't connected to ImGRAFT, the glacier-image research toolbox with a similar name.
