Project Note

A closer look at Keepember

Ember combines reminders, a journal, and notes about people with a conversational assistant.

What the product offers

The Keepember website presents the app as Ember and links iOS and Android downloads. Public examples depict spoken or typed requests becoming reminders, journal entries, and information about people. Voice recognition and reminder delivery remain Not reviewed.

Beyond reminders, Ember keeps a page for each person with dates, relationships, sizes, food preferences and allergies, alongside a money ledger with budgets and savings jars, habit tracking, subscription reminders, a daily journal and a morning briefing of who to check in with. The home screen is a set of tiles you can switch on, reorder and resize, and the site is offered in 23 languages.

Who it may suit

The practical fit is someone who wants to remember a conversation or follow-up without sorting every detail manually. The app also presents Tarot, astrology, numerology, and related systems as reflection features. Those readings are separate from the organization workflow and do not establish predictive accuracy.

What caught my eye

Remembering details about other people makes correction and deletion especially relevant. The public illustrations explain the intended workflow, but data handling, deletion, and encryption claims remain Not reviewed. No personal information was entered into the mobile app.

Plans and data

Ember is free to start, with 20 contacts, five active reminders and five Ember Points a day, where each AI question uses one point. Pro costs $9.99 a month or $79 a year and raises the limits to 2,000 contacts and 100 points a day, adding voice notes and the full Keeper assistant. Ultra is $19.99 a month or $179 a year for 10,000 contacts and 200 points a day. Billing goes through the App Store or Google Play.

The privacy policy, last updated October 18, 2026, names Vũ Đăng Công, an independent developer in Vietnam, as the operator. It says content syncs with end-to-end encryption through Supabase in Singapore and that synced data is removed within about 30 days of an account deletion request. When you use Keeper or other AI features, the context needed for the request goes to OpenAI, Google Gemini, DeepSeek or Anthropic Claude, sometimes through OpenRouter, with no-training or zero-retention settings where the provider supports them. The policy also notes that DeepSeek is based in China and may use inputs under its own policies, which is worth weighing before storing details such as ID numbers or health notes about family members.
