Project Note

A closer look at MoireRemoval

An AI moire remover for screen photos, scans and fabric shots, with scene modes, batch uploads and up to 4K output. New users get free credits, and a set of halftone and dither tools runs free in the browser.

What it does

Photograph a computer monitor, rescan a magazine photo or shoot a striped shirt up close, and you can end up with rippling bands of color across the image. That's moire, an interference pattern between two fine grids, and it's hard to remove by hand. MoireRemoval is built for exactly that.

You upload an image, pick the scene type, and the AI removes the pattern while trying to keep the rest of the detail. A before-and-after preview shows what changed, and you can upload several images at once. The site has separate starting points for screen photos, phone shots, descreening scans, printed material, fabric, e-commerce product photos and even video, along with tools for removing glare, reflections in glasses and the glasses themselves from photos. Files can be up to 60 MB before conversion.

The site also has a set of free pattern tools that run in your browser instead of on its servers: a moire pattern generator, a halftone generator, a DTF halftone generator for garment printing, and a dither tool. Those are useful in their own right if you prepare artwork for print.

Credits and pricing

Removal runs on credits. An image costs 6 credits at 1K or 2K and 12 at 4K. New users get free credits to try it at 1K or 2K. After that, one-time packs start at $19.90 for 168 credits, roughly 28 photos, with Plus at $49.90 for 720 and Studio at $99.90 for 1,800. Pack credits never expire, and there are monthly and yearly plans as well.

Who runs it

MoireRemoval is owned and operated by Wyattly LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming, according to its terms. It describes itself as an independent interface for third-party AI models, not affiliated with any model provider. The privacy policy says uploaded images are deleted from its servers within 24 hours of processing.
