A closer look at MusicGo AI Music Generator

MusicGo generates songs from a written description, an image or a video, one track per request. It runs on credits, and new accounts get 15 free.

What you do with it

The main tool is a text box. You describe the song you want (style, mood, instruments), pick a voice or instrumental, and can paste in your own lyrics. MusicGo returns one song per request. The home page plays ten sample tracks, one each for pop, electronic, lo-fi, jazz, rock, hip-hop, classical, ambient, folk and R&B, so you can hear the range before signing up.

Narrower tools sit around it. Image to Music makes a clip from a picture and a description, and Video to Music writes a soundtrack that follows your video, with both the music and the scored video available to download. The lyric generators write verses from a theme, including rap and "brat-style" club-pop versions that produce text only. There's also vocal separation, and an AI Singing Photo tool that turns a portrait and a song into a singing video.

Why the team built it

The team behind MusicGo says it started from wanting a quick way to hear what a song idea could sound like while it was still fresh. A mood, a lyric or a scene can be enough to imagine a song, they explain, but getting to a first draft takes work. In their description you stay in charge of the result: describe the song or bring your own lyrics, listen to the first version, and if it misses, edit the lyrics or the style description and generate again.

On data, they say your prompt and any lyrics you add go to MusicGo's servers to make the track, and songs in your library are stored so you can play them again.

Credits and cost

Everything runs on credits. A song is 10 credits, a set of lyrics is 1, and the other tools show their cost before you submit. New accounts get 15 free credits without a subscription, which covers one song. Paid plans are $9.99 a month for 400 credits (up to 40 songs), $19.99 for 1,000 and $39.99 for the largest plan, with 20% off on yearly billing and one-time credit packs if you'd rather not subscribe. The WAV, FLAC and MP3 converters are free and don't ask you to sign in.

Sign-in goes through Google, so you'll need a Google account before you can generate anything.

Where your audio goes

The privacy policy, updated November 4, 2026, is specific about uploads. Audio, prompts, lyrics and settings are stored under your account. The parts each tool needs are sent to Kie or WaveSpeed for processing, and audio files are kept in Cloudflare R2. Creem handles checkout and subscriptions. The policy describes MusicGo only as a service name and doesn't say which company or person runs it, though it gives a support address for privacy requests. Sexually explicit content is prohibited.

For sketching background music or turning a song idea into a rough track, the credit costs are easy to work out in advance. If you plan to upload a vocal recording you care about, read that policy first, because the file passes through outside processors.
