A closer look at PokerChip.live
PokerChip.live lets a home poker game run without physical chips. The host creates a room with a buy-in and blinds, players join by QR code or room code in their phone browser, and everyone bets, raises and folds in the app while stacks and the pot update live. It tracks chips only and handles no real money.
Chips without the chip set
PokerChip.live is for the home game where someone forgot the chips, or nobody wants to count stacks at 1 a.m. The host creates a room and sets the buy-in, blind levels and maximum players, then shares a QR code or room code. Everyone joins from their own phone browser with no app to install and gets a starting stack.
From there, players bet, raise and fold in the app, and the pot and every stack update in real time on everyone's screen. A shared table view shows seats, stacks, the dealer button and the pot. Blinds can be off for a casual game or set up as a structure for a tournament. Players can join mid-game or cash out, and rebuys are tracked, so the settlement at the end is already worked out.
Not a gambling site
The site is explicit that it's a score and chip tracker only. It doesn't process real-money transactions, and Pro is described as a software subscription, not a gambling product. Any money at a home game stays between the players. The site also has free tools such as a settlement calculator, a chip distribution calculator and a hand rankings chart.
Free and Pro
The free plan includes unlimited game rooms with ads, up to eight players per room, real-time tracking and settlement, one club you own and a seven-day game history. Pro removes ads and adds unlimited clubs, personal insights and season standings, CSV, Excel and PDF export and table themes, at $4.90 a month or $41.20 a year. The site offers sign-in for accounts, and its privacy policy covers account details, gameplay data and payment details handled through a processor, and says data isn't sold.
