A closer look at Reset Radar
A browser countdown and calendar reminder for Codex usage reset times, with five guides to personal, bonus and banked resets.
The reset time you already have
Codex shows each user when their allowance resets, but that time is easy to forget and easy to confuse with public announcements. Reset Radar keeps it simple. You copy the reset time from your own account, pick its time zone, and the site keeps a countdown and can export a one-time calendar reminder. It can't read your account or change your limits, and it says so plainly.
The privacy notice is specific about what's stored: one record in your browser's local storage with the target time, time zone, label and a random identifier. Nothing goes to a database or into the page URL, and Clear timer deletes it. No sign-up is needed.
Three kinds of reset
The five guides are the more useful half. They separate three things people call a reset: your personal usage window, an announced bonus reset that may apply only to some accounts, and a banked reset with its own eligibility and redemption terms. Others cover how task size and model choice affect usage, and how to find your reset time without sharing credentials.
Independent, and a little behind
Reset Radar is a personal project maintained under the editorial name Reset Radar editor. It states that it isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by OpenAI, and that Codex is an OpenAI product. Its announcement tracker lists sources as last checked on September 18, 2026 and marks its review as overdue, so treat that page as a starting point and check OpenAI's own notices before relying on a bonus reset.
