Tesla Wrap Design

Tesla's Paint Shop lets owners load a custom image onto the 3D model of their car on the in-car screen. The catch is that each model, year and trim has its own template layout, and a design that ignores it won't line up. Tesla Wrap Design starts by asking which car you have. It covers 12 vehicle variants, including several Model 3 and Model Y generations and the Cybertruck, built on the templates Tesla publishes on GitHub.

From there it's a browser editor with a live 3D preview you can drag to rotate. Export is a free PNG. Guides cover the PNG requirements, how to upload from a USB drive, and what to check when a wrap doesn't show up, and a PNG checker tests a file before you walk out to the car.

For people who don't want to design from scratch, the AI generator paints a wrap onto your model's template from a prompt such as "black and gold" or "synthwave", or takes colors and texture from a photo you upload. The result lands in the editor as a layer, so you can keep adjusting it. Text generation costs 10 credits and photo-to-wrap 20, with packs starting at $4.90 and failed runs refunded. There's also a gallery of 48 ready-made designs to open and edit.

Drafts are kept locally under My designs. Signing in with Google adds cloud storage for exported PNGs, which you can delete from your account page. The privacy policy says your prompt, the layout guide and any reference image are sent to an AI provider when you generate, without naming it. The site states that it isn't affiliated with Tesla, Inc.
