Project Note

A closer look at Nizlo

Remote monitoring and management for Windows workstations and servers: health monitoring, inventory, patching, scripts and remote support in one customer-aware console. Core starts at $59 a month for one technician and unlimited endpoints, with a 14-day trial and no card.

What it does

An MSP looking after a dentist's office, a small lab and a dozen other clients needs to know which machines are offline, which are missing updates and which need a reboot, without logging into each one. That's the job of an RMM, and Nizlo is one built for Windows first. You install its agent on workstations and servers, and the console shows each device's health, availability, CPU, memory, disks, services and installed software, grouped by customer.

From there a technician can take action. Nizlo shows update posture and lets you schedule maintenance windows to move devices toward compliance, run approved scripts and repeatable jobs, and open remote tools to support a user. Each action lands in an activity history, so there's a record of who did what. There's an Android and iOS app alongside the web console, and a separate backup product with its own pricing.

What it isn't

The site is specific about scope. Nizlo is for ongoing, authorized management of devices you're responsible for. It isn't a one-time remote desktop download, a network monitor or an employee-surveillance tool, and it doesn't replace identity management, endpoint security, backup or network management. It also calls itself earlier-stage and suggests testing it on a narrow, authorized group of machines before rolling it out widely. The team behind Nizlo says Windows is its core platform, with macOS support available and Linux still a limited monitoring preview. It also says teams that need a broad catalog of third-party application patches, mature automatic integrations or a long record of independent reviews should look at other options, or run a narrow pilot before deciding.

Pricing and who runs it

The Core plan costs $59 a month and Scale $79, both for one technician with unlimited RMM endpoints, so the price depends on technicians rather than device count. Suite, at $99 a month, adds a starting cloud-backup allowance. There's no permanent free plan. According to the team, the 14-day trial needs no card and doesn't convert to a paid plan automatically. Nizlo is operated by Cloud 84 Holdings, LLC. Its privacy policy says it doesn't intentionally collect Windows, browser or Wi-Fi passwords from managed devices, and customers can set retention and archive endpoints from the console. The site also publishes free tools for evaluating RMMs, including an ROI calculator and a scorecard.
